Macclesfield found their scoring boots to seal Town's first win in seven.

Emile Sinclair went on a 30-yard run before hitting a fierce dipping shot which goal-keeper Adam Bartlett could only parry in off his own post.

And Bartlett could only block a Nat Brown header onto the shins of Ben Wright, who scored his first goal for the Cheshire club in his 20th match.

Sinclair's second, a 15-yard drive, went in off Bartlett's legs before Leon Constantine scored a late consolation.

Hereford manager John Trewick told BBC Hereford and Worcester:

"We took a little while to settle but there wasn't much happening in the game and I was quite comfortable.

"Then we conceded what was from, our point of view, a very poor goal defensively.

"We seemed to wobble a little bit and conceded another from a corner very quickly right on the stroke of half-time."
