Nicky Law finally broke the resistance of 10-man Port Vale by scoring in the 92nd minute to give Rotherham their first victory in five league games.

The Millers had rarely threatened to find a way through after Luke Prosser was sent off for a second bookable offence on the stroke of half-time.

But with time running out Law curled in a left-foot shot from 15 yards.

Rotherham had taken a 31st-minute lead through Stephen Brogan only for Prosser to level five minutes later.

Port Vale manager Micky Adams told BBC Radio Stoke:

"Obviously the game changes on the sending off, which I think is a bit harsh. There were a few incidents early on in the game that he did nothing about and then all of a sudden cards are flying everywhere"

"Our game plan was to try and frustrate them and then take our opportunities when they came along, we had a great opportunity through Marc Richards that we needed to go in, but I though it was a terrific backs-to-the-wall display."

Rotherham manager Ronnie Moore told BBC Radio Sheffield:

"I thought it was totally deserved. We've been patient and done the right thing but, I must be honest, I didn't think it was going to come

"I thought we did really well second half, we didn't go into any silly tackles.
