Chesterfield made amends for their loss at Hereford last week with a thrilling victory over Burton.

Danny Hall drilled home the opening goal for the Spireites before Mark Allott doubled the lead from a corner.

Burton's Andy Webster fired in from 25 yards with ten minutes to go but strikes from Jack Lester and Drewe Talbot sealed the Chesterfield win.

A headed goal from Matt Harrad and a Donal McDermott goal for Chesterfield were largely academic to the outcome.

Chesterfield assistant manager Tommy Wright told BBC Radio Sheffield

"John [Sheridan] and myself are delighted. I thought we could have scored more, not to be greedy but it thought the passing and movement were very good.

"I think we have played well at home, we've created a lot of chances even away from home.

"At home we always look likely to score."

Burton Albion manager Paul Peschisolido told BBC Radio Derby:

"It's always disappointing when you lose, whether you've won three or lost three, they're all just as bad.

"If we'd got a point, it would have been unfair on them."
