Accrington Stanley   0 - 1   Bournemouth

Accrington Stanley 0-1 Bournemouth

Accrington 0-1 Bournemouth

Bournemouth captain Danny Hollands headed the only goal as the League Two leaders ended a run of four games without a win by beating Accrington.

Stanley boss John Coleman was sent to the stands early on for protesting when Michael Symes was booked for a foul.

Visiting keeper Shwan Jalal made good saves from Jimmy Ryan, Robert Grant and former Bournemouth loan player Symes.

But Hollands stooped to nod in Warren Cummings' free kick, before Cherries striker Brett Pitman headed wide.

With rivals Dagenham & Redbridge and Rochdale also winning, the result keeps the Cherries a point clear at the top.

Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe told BBC Sport:

"Coming to places like this is always difficult, but I thought we showed good resolve, really good determination and again we ground out a really important victory.

"I'm just pleased to get back to winning ways. A couple of weeks have gone by without a victory and it's a good feeling.

"I didn't expect 80 minutes out of Mark Molesley, I've got to be honest. But he got better as the game went on and it's a big bonus for him coming back."
