Dagenham & Redbridge 2-0 Darlington

Dagenham & Redbridge bagged their first league win in four games as they beat League Two bottom club Darlington.

The opening goal came after Danny Green and Josh Scott linked up well leaving Green to fire past Russell Hoult.

And a minute later Scott grabbed the second when he slotted home from outside the area.

Dagenham also saw a Danny Spiller shot ruled out for offside, while new Darlington boss Steve Staunton saw new-signing Noel Whelan limp off injured.

Dagenham & Redbridge manager John Still told BBC Essex:

"Their goalkeeper's kept them in the game, we've had so many efforts on goal, on another day two or three or even more of them go in.

"You always worry when they get a new manager, because it comes on the back of a bit of hype.

"I was delighted with our application and delighted with our two goals."
