Grimsby suffered their third straight loss to remain bottom of League Two.

Rotherham took the lead from the spot when Robbie Stockdale was adjudged to have handled and Adam Le Fondre stepped up to fire home the resulting penalty.

Grimsby responded well and levelled when Peter Sweeney's 20-yard shot squirmed past Andy Warrington.

But, three minutes later, Micky Cummins met Nicky Law's disputed free-kick with a downward header to clinch the three points for the Millers.

Rotherham United manager Mark Robins told BBC Radio Sheffield:

"I thought we played well. I think we deserved the win. We could have and should have won by more goals

"The only down sides to it was Ian Sharp's limped out with a groin strain and Jamie Green's picked up an injury.

"Delighted we picked up three points on the road."
