Bournemouth maintained their 100% start to the League Two season with a comfortable victory over Rotherham.

Ryan Garry scored the decisive goal for the Cherries, nodding in Lee Bradbury's cross on the stroke of half-time.

The Millers applied pressure in the second half but were restricted to half-chances as the home side comfortably dealt with any threat.

And they could have doubled their lead when Brett Pitman, who had been a threat all afternoon, hit the post.

Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe told BBC Radio Solent:

"The lads gave me everything. We ground it out today and we looked a threat going forward despite only scoring one goal.

"Winning the first games of the season means nothing - it means we have got off to a good start.

"But I'm delighted and I hope we can keep the momentum going."

Rotherham manager Mark Robins told BBC Radio Sheffield:

"Credit to Bournemouth. They made it difficult, they've stifled us and created confusion in our defence when there shouldn't have been.

"We have to work at it and get it right and make sure the players gel better and quicker.

"Bournemouth were expecting us to come here as challengers for promotion and have come away thinking they have got a chance."
