Accrington 1-0 Chesterfield

Bobby Grant's first goal for Accrington dashed Chesterfield's hopes of making the League Two play-offs.

Grant twice went close and Jimmy Ryan saw his shot cleared off the line as Stanley made the early running.

Five minutes after the break Peter Cavanagh's long pass was spectacularly volleyed in from 25 yards by Grant.

Chesterfield's hopes ended on a sour note when skipper and division's leading scorer, Jack Lester was shown a straight red card for dissent.
