Chester 0-0 Bradford

Chester remain deep in relegation trouble in League Two after their winless run was extended to 18 matches.

The game, which was played in blustery conditions, was fiercely contested but chances were few and far between.

Chester's livewire striker Richie Partridge was twice denied, first by Zesh Rehman's block and again in the final minute by keeper Rhys Evans.

For the play-off chasing visitors, Michael Boulding twice forced Chester keeper John Danby into smart saves.

Bradford's point leaves them still one off the League Two play-off pack. But Chester have slipped three points adrift of 22nd-placed Grimsby Town - with just six games left.

Chester manager Mark Wright told BBC Radio Merseyside: "We did everything to win the game by playing three up front but, once again, we didn't get the result that, in recent weeks, we have deserved.

"I could ask no more of them. We've kept a clean sheet, Richie Partridge came in and did really well and we had our chances.

"But draws aren't quite good enough. And it's frustrating as Grimsby won with a late penalty, which makes it doubly disappointing."
