Port Vale 1-1 Shrewsbury

Kyle Perry and Marc Pugh saw red as Port Vale and Shrewsbury both finished an ill-tempered draw with 10 men.

The Valiants took the lead after just eight minutes when Stephen Thompson smashed home a ferocious 25-yard shot.

The visitors levelled on 27 minutes as Richard Walker stole a yard of space then finished neatly from 12 yards.

Vale's Perry was sent off for violent conduct following a clash with Kelvin Langmead, then Pugh was also dismissed for an off-the-ball incident.
