Port Vale skipper Marc Richards grabbed a late winner against Shrewsbury in a dramatic finale to secure all three points for the visitors.
Louis Dodds scored the opener for Port Vale, but a deflected shot from substitute Michael Symes in the final minute looked to have salvaged a point.
Vale were then reduced to 10 men when Lee Collins was red-carded for a second yellow card, a foul on Kelvin Langmead.
But the drama was not over, Richards poking home in the dying seconds.
That sparked a pitch invasion of away fans. But it also meant Shrewsbury ended the game with 10 men, as on-loan West Bromwich Albion keeper Luke Daniels was led off with a cut face, having collided with Richards in an attempt to avoid conceding the goal.
That left Langmead to take the gloves for the few remaining seconds while Daniels was taken off to hospital, where he underwent minor plastic surgery.
