Exeter 0-1 Shrewsbury

Paul Murray's superb second-half strike on the break was enough to give Shrewsbury a victory at Exeter.

Murray scored with a powerful 25-yard left-foot effort to stun the newly promoted Grecians, who had controlled the game for long spells.

The home side hit the bar three times in the opening half with Ryan Harley denied twice and Richard Logan also being foiled by the woodwork.

Shrewsbury's Ben Davies saw a thumping volley saved by Paul Jones.
