Dagenham got off to a magnificent start as they smashed six goals past Chester.
Dominic Green got the scoring under way with a brilliant free-kick before Ben Strevens doubled the lead from the spot after Paul Benson was brought down.
Winger Sam Saunders made the game safe with another free-kick and then crashed in a loose ball to make it 4-0.
Benson added to the visitors' misery, racing clear to make it 5-0 before susbstitute Mark Nwokeji hammered in a sixth from close range.
