Dag & Red 0-1 Macclesfield

Keith Alexander earned his first win as manager of Macclesfield as they narrowly won away at Dagenham.

Substitute Francis Green grabbed the winner with 18 minutes left, picking up the ball and cutting inside the box before producing a precise finish.

Town were indebted to goalkeeper Jonny Brain after he saved Dave Rainford's penalty in the 58th minute and then superbly tipped over Jon Nurse's drive.

Brian preserved their lead late on too by blocking Christopher Moore's effort.
