Craig Mackail-Smith was on target for Posh in victory

Peterborough returned to the League Two summit with a hotly-disputed victory at in-form Dagenham.

George Boyd put Posh ahead from 18 yards after 57 minutes before Craig Mackail-Smith added a second despite Aaron McLean looking offside.

Dave Rainford scored from the spot for Dageham seven minutes from time, but McLean got Posh's third after 86 minutes despite more offside appeals.

Substitute Ryan Hall pulled another back for Dagenham in injury time.
