Walsall extended their lead at the top of League Two to six points after a Martin Butler bagged a brace in their comfortable home victory over Grimsby.
Butler scored his first goal since September when he rose to head home Hector Sam's cross after 28 minutes.
Ciaran Toner dragged a shot wide and Gary Jones had a goal ruled out for offside as the visitors threatened.
Butler wrapped it up near the end, netting from three yards after Phil Barnes parried Par Cederqvist's cross.
