Nicky Bailey hit the winner as Barnet earned their first away league win this season after a thrilling second half.
All five goals came after the break with Matty McNeil putting Macclesfield ahead with a low drive before Ian Hendon equalised with a penalty.
Barry Cogan then put Barnet ahead with a close-range shot but Matthew Tipton levelled for Macc when he converted McNeil's cross from inside the area.
Bailey headed in Jason Puncheon's cross to leave Town bottom of the table.
