Carlisle were confirmed as champions and Stockport staved off relegation in a goalless draw that prompted dramatic scenes at Edgeley Park.
While the Cumbrians' celebrations were a foregone conclusion, County fans could also cheer as they finished three points above relegated Oxford.
Stockport's Adam Griffin and Carlisle's Glenn Murray both could have won it for their sides with decent chances.
But a share of the points was enough for both to begin the party.
