Scunthorpe 3-1 Hull

Hull's poor run continued against local rivals Scunthorpe as they were soundly beaten at Glanford Park.

The game came to life shortly after half time when striker Paul Hayes swept forward from his own half to drive home a super opener for the home side after 50 minutes.

However, Jamie Forrester stunned his former club when he chipped the ball over Tommy Evans.

But Scunthorpe's overall domination was maintained when Matt Sparrow headed in at the far post.

Sparrow wrapped up the points with his second goal after 82 minutes when he made a strong break into the City penalty area and slotted home.

Scunthorpe: Evans, Stanton, Jackson, Byrne, Lee Ridley, Sparrow, Calvo-Garcia, Kilford, Beagrie, Carruthers, Hayes.
Subs: McCombe, Graves, Brough, Parton, Capp.

Hull: Fettis, Regan, Whittle, Delaney, Joseph, Smith, Ashbee, Keates, Williams, Webb, Forrester.
Subs: Musselwhite, Burton, Dudfield, Melton, Elliott.

Referee: T Parkes (Birmingham)
