Boston United finally grabbed their first win in League football with a fine victory over local rivals Lincoln City.

The Pilgrims saw off their arch-rivals courtesy of goals from Simon Weatherstone and Daryl Clare, the second a thunderous strike coming after Lincoln had been reduced to 10 men.

The Imps battled hard but lost the services of striker Simon Yeo in the 66th minute for kicking out at home midfielder Simon Rusk.

And from then on the visitors never looked likely to find a way back into the game despite a late effort from Scott Willis that was just wide of the target.
