Luton claimed promotion to Division Two with a victory at Swansea.

Matthew Taylor put them on their way on the half-hour mark when he nodded home his 11th goal of the season after Steve Howard had crossed to the far post.

Swansea created few genuine scoring opportunities and Luton substitute Peter Holmes doubled his side's lead with a shot from the edge of the area after 57 minutes.

Howard added Luton's third goal 20 minutes later before Swansea's Andrew Mumford pulled one back in the closing moments when his shot was deflected over the line by defender Russell Perrett.

Swansea: Freestone, De-Vulgt, Todd, O'Leary, Howard, Mumford, Coates, Casey, Brodie, Williams, Watkin.
Subs: Jones, Cusack, Sidibe, Romo, Smith.

Luton: Emberson, Perrett, Johnson, Coyne, Taylor, Bayliss, Spring, Nicholls, Valois, Howard, Crowe.
Subs: Ovendale, Kabba, Forbes, Holmes, Boyce.

Referee: R Beeby (Northampton).
