Plymouth 0-1 Shrewsbury
Skipper Nigel Jemson was the hero for Shrewsbury as he scored with 21 minutes
left to earn his side a 1-0 victory at Plymouth.
In a tight opening period, the advantage seemed to be going Plymouth's way when Shrews midfielder Karl Murray was dismissed for a second bookable offence 10 minutes before half-time. But the hosts were unable to make their extra man count as visiting keeper Mark Cartwright produced a string of fine saves to keep them out. And the Pilgrims were caught with a sucker punch in the 69th minute when veteran striker Jemson side-footed home from six yards from a Mark Atkins cross.
