Swindon 2-1 Oxford
Swindon supersub Giuliano Grazioli earned the Robins their first home win of the season with his first touch on 79 minutes.

Alan Reeves gave them the lead with a 20th-minute header but Oxford's on-loan debutant Guy Whittingham equalised in a tense Thames Valley derby.

Defender Derek Lilley came closest to scoring early on for Oxford with a 25-yard drive that Swindon keeper Bart Griemink tipped over the crossbar.

Matt Murphy and John Richardson went close with headers soon afterwards for the visitors but Reeves opened the scoring with the Robins' first chance of the afternoon.

Midfielder Matthew Hewlett found Martin Williams and the new Swindon striker crossed to the far post where Reeves headed past Richard Knight.

Williams had a header disallowed for offside after 29 minutes as the home side looked to build on Reeves' opener.

Hewlett hit a 25-yard volley just wide of Knight's right-hand post six minutes later before central defender Lee Jarman sent a direct free-kick just wide of Griemink's left-hand post after 37 minutes.

Swindon centre-halves Adam Willis and goalscorer Reeves were booked for fouls in a frantic first half and Gary Alexander could have scored a second goal on the stroke of half-time but his header went straight at Knight.

After 48 minutes, Lilley's left-wing cross found Whittingham in the six-yard box but the on-loan forward could only send the ball over the crossbar.

But the former Sheffield Wednesday striker drew the Us level in the 61st minute, stabbing the ball past Griemink from six yards following a right-wing centre from defender Sam Ricketts.

Out-of-favour Grazioli though made an instant impression as sub, muscling in to head home a Davis cross from two yards to boost his chances of a return to Colin Todd's starting side.
