Southampton   4 - 1   Swindon

Highlights - Southampton 4-1 Swindon

Southampton 4-1 Swindon

Three goals in the second half helped Southampton beat struggling Swindon.

The home side, who had already hit the post through Alex Chamberlain, went in front when Guly Do Prado played in Adam Lallana who slotted home.

Swindon hit back through Matt Ritchie's powerful effort before Rickie Lambert headed in from Dan Harding's cross.

Moments later the Saints made the game safe when Lambert's cross was nodded in by Radhi Jaidi and substitute Lee Barnard slotted home in injury time.

Southampton manager Nigel Adkins told BBC Radio Solent:
"Maybe we didn't start as brightly as we could have in the second half but we scored some good goals from set plays and we march into March.

"It shows we have got a strong group of players all pulling in the same direction and that's helped us get a very valuable three points

"The lads have done ever so well all season - we scored some very good goals and we could have scored a lot more."
