Bristol Rovers 0-0 Wigan
Bristol Rovers' new on-loan goalkeeper Matt Glennon made an impressive debut, with a clean sheet in a goalless draw against highly rated Wigan.

The 21-year-old from Bolton Wanderers made important saves from Kevin Nicholls and Simon Haworth.

His new side kept their unbeaten record in a match that was an excellent advert for the second division.

Rovers also had their chances, with Marcus Bignot heading over when unmarked. Scott Jones forced a fine save from Roy Carroll with a first half free kick.

Both teams produced some slick approach play without being able to find the killer punch against some solid defensive work.

This display confirmed Rovers and Wigan as potential promotion contenders.

Bristol Rovers: Glennon, Bignot, Jones, Pethick, Foster, Wilson, Bryant, Hogg, Astafjevs, Evans, Ellington.
Subs: Foran, Walters, Plummer, Clarke, Ellis.

Wigan: Carroll, Green, McGibbon, De Zeeuw, Balmer, Sharp, Martinez, Nicholls, Kilford, Haworth, Liddell.
Subs: McLoughlin, McLaughlin, Stillie, Padula, Roberts.

Referee: A Butler (Sutton-in-Ashfield)
