Huddersfield moved up to third in the table after a hard-fought victory.

Garry Liddle put Hartlepool ahead with a header from Neil Austin's free-kick, while Peter Clarke later cleared Adam Boyd's goal-bound shot off the line.

Anthony Pilkington twice hit the post with free-kicks, one of which saw Peter Hartley put the rebound into his own net for Town's equaliser.

Robbie Williams struck the winner with a 20-yard strike after jinking past three Hartlepool players.
