Neil Harris hit a hat-trick as Millwall romped to victory at Stockport.

Centre-back Paul Robinson scored the visitors' first when he nodded home from Chris Hackett's inswinging corner.

Harris scored his first, making it 2-0, when he capitalised on a weak header from Paul Huntington and the striker added another from 15 yards.

Harris then missed a penalty, having been fouled himself, before completing his hat-trick when he slotted in from six yards to seal the victory.

That was Harris's second hat-trick of the season, having also hit three in the League Cup against Bournemouth in August, and the seventh treble of his career.

It was also Millwall's biggest away win in eight years - since goals from Tim Cahill, Steven Reid and Steve Claridge (2) helped them beat Stockport at Edgeley Park by an identical scoreline in October 2001.

Millwall manager Kenny Jackett told BBC London 94.9:

"It was a good performance and I'm really pleased with the players.

"We started off at a good pace, got in front and held it there

"Four goals and a missed penalty and some good attacking options. We have to build on this confidence now.

"It's terrific to get that type of win away from home and then to look forward to two big games against Leeds and Colchester, two sides above us in the table."
