Leaders Leeds remain unbeaten in the league after their game against in-form Charlton finished goalless.

Leeds striker Jermaine Beckford had the best chance in the early exchanges, firing wide from 15-yards after being put through by Neil Kilkenny.

Keeper Rob Elliot pulled off a flying save to deny Leeds' Bradley Johnson, while Charlton's Jonjo Shelvey headed Frazer Richardson's cross off target.

And Enoch Showunmi's lob just flew over the angle of Charlton's post and bar.

Leeds United manager Simon Grayson told BBC Radio Leeds:

"Over the course of the game a draw was the right result.

"The conditions made it very hard for both teams. With the wind swirling about so much it made it hard for players to judge passes and things like that.

"I think it was always going to be a tight game because neither side wanted to lose the game and the players didn't want to make mistakes.

"To keep a clean sheet against a team like Charlton is very pleasing too."

Charlton manager Phil Parkinson told BBC London 94.9:

"Well, doing the basics well on the back of playing your football is the way to get a result and today we did that.

"The defenders were solid, the midfield won the second balls and all the challenges.

We got back in our shape quicker, we defended set-plays very well and on the back of that we got the ball down and played some very good stuff in the second half."
