Brentford   2 - 3   Swindon

Brentford v Swindon

Brentford 2-3 Swindon

Alex Revell's brace helped Swindon edge a five-goal thriller at Brentford.

He converted Jon-Paul McGovern's cross from a tight angle before Ben Hutchinson skipped past a static home defence to make it 2-0 at the break.

Carl Cort slammed in from the edge of the box for the Bees, but Revell's 25-yard angled drive flew into the top right corner to make it 3-1.

Charlie McDonald headed in a corner to set up a frantic finale, but Swindon held on for the victory.

Brentford manager Andy Scott told BBC London 94.9:

"I'm not interested in the second half performance. We gave ourselves a mountain to climb.

"We can't defend properly, our two central defenders want to defend on their own and got dominated by their two centre forwards.

"We gave ourselves a foothold with a goal and then decide to defend how we want to again. It's not good enough."

Swindon manager Danny Wilson told BBC Wiltshire:

"This was a tough place to come, I promise you, and when they play like they did in the second half, it looks an even better result for us.

"If we had this mental barrier of us conceding late on, that people kept talking about, we got through that so that's a great positive to take from it."
