Cheltenham 1-0 Yeovil

Cheltenham staved off their seemingly-inevitable relegation from League One with a victory over rivals Yeovil.

Frankie Artus found the net after winger David Hutton's low shot had struck the base of the right post.

Kieran Murtagh later hit the crossbar for Yeovil, who also had Gary Roberts sent off for a second bookable offence.

Scott Brown was kept busy in the Cheltenham goal with Yeovil also having a late penalty shout for handball by Yuri Berchiche waved away.

Cheltenham manager Martin Allen told BBC Points West:

"Yeovil have been on a fantastic run, haven't conceded for five games but today was about us. "

Allen delighted with youngsters

"We had a 17-year-old and a 19-year old again having league debuts. Everyone must understand that we are looking a little bit to the future as well and giving these young boys a chance."

"We're in a precarious and difficult position and if I studied the table every day I'd end up with a screw loose."

"The players are doing great and the supporters have been terrific and it's another great day for our club."

Yeovil player-manager Terry Skiverton told BBC Points West:

"The boys couldn't have given me any more. If anything they were a little too committed but I want them to get about the pitch and want them to put their foot in."

"I think we created enough chances to win the game but couldn't quite get the ball in the back of the net."

"Even when we went down to 10 men in the second half we created one or two clear cut chances to score but they defended really well."

"The supporters that came away with us today were absolutely fantastic and even after the game they were clapping and cheering."
