Hereford 0-3 Bristol Rovers

Bristol Rovers completed a League One double over struggling Hereford with an emphatic victory thanks to a hat-trick from leading marksman Rickie Lambert.

Lambert struck a superb free-kick through the wall from outside the area to beat keeper Peter Gulacsi.

And Lambert's second came eight minutes later when he lashed a low drive into the far corner from 12 yards.

Matt Done hit the post for Hereford, but Lambert clinched the win from the penalty spot in the 58th minute.

Bristol Rovers striker Rickie Lambert told BBC Points West:

"It felt really good being captain, I loved it. That was one of the best memories I'll have in my career.

Captaincy trumps hat-trick - Lambert

"To get the first goal was a big relief and I thought we did really well. Lennie (Lawrence) and Trolls(Paul Trollope) said get the early goal and it'll kill them off and that's all I kept on saying.

"When I took the penalty I was a bit nervous. I missed the last one so I decided go the opposite way and I never go that way."
