Brighton 1-2 Colchester

Scott Vernon grabbed a late winner as Colchester came from behind for their first away league win at Brighton.

Nicky Forster headed a deft opener but a bizarre Adam Hinshelwood own goal, who was under no pressure when slamming into his own net, put Colchester level.

Brighton's Glenn Murray had a shot saved and Jimmy Walker also stopped a Bradley Johnson shot. Meanwhile, Colchester's Clive Platt went close.

And three minutes from time, substitute Vernon converted Kemal Izzet's pass.
