Huddersfield came from behind to secure a win that sees Cheltenham replace them at the bottom of the table.
Cheltenham led 1-0 at half-time with Alex Russell's left-wing cross being met by Lloyd Owusu, who powered in a header on his debut.
David Unsworth hit the bar, but from the resulting corner Nathan Clarke stabbed home the equaliser.
Cheltenham failed to deal with another corner and the ball fell to Ian Craney who drilled home from 25 yards out.
