Luton 2-1 Crewe

Midfielder Matthew Spring scored twice to give Luton a ray of hope in their League One relegation battle.

A defensive mix-up was to blame for Luton's first, with Ben Williams and Danny Woodards allowing Spring to fire into an empty net from 30 yards.

Crewe drew level when Kenny Lunt's pass set Nicky Maynard free to finish underneath goalkeeper Dean Brill.

But Crewe conceded a penalty when Patrick Boyle fouled Ryan Charles, and Spring shot home to seal victory.
