Hartlepool shrugged off two early injuries to beat Yeovil with a goal in each half at the Victoria Ground.
The home side were forced to reshuffle after Sam Collins and Richie Barker went off inside the first 18 minutes.
But James Brown put them in front on 28 minutes, finding the bottom corner from Joel Porter's cut-back.
Pool made it 2-0 in the 67th minute when Porter slotted home and Yeovil could not conjure up a reply, although Marvin Williams hit a post late on.
