Oldham 2-0 Bournemouth

Oldham's teenage captain Neil Eardley bagged a brace from the penalty spot as they saw off Bournemouth and boosted their promotion hopes in the process.

He put the Latics in the lead after just 24 minutes when Gareth McDonald had been pushed to the ground.

Eardley wrapped up the points with only 10 minutes remaining after Josh Gowling had brought down winger Chris Taylor.

The Cherries, who are now 11 points from League One safety, never looked like threatening the scoresheet.
