Jermaine Beckford struck a late penalty to earn Leeds a point at home against Nottingham Forest in front of 29,552.
Beckford slotted in from the spot seven minutes from time after Wes Morgan was adjudged to have fouled Tresor Kandol.
Forest had earlier taken the lead when Kris Commons crossed for full-back Julian Bennett to power home a header.
Forest had had the better of the chances, Nathan Tyson dragging wide and then forcing a wonder save from Casper Ankergren, but Leeds salvaged a draw.
