Nathan Tyson helped Nottingham Forest clinch a hard-fought win over potential promotion rivals Tranmere with his first league goal of the season.
Junior Agogo had opened the scoring from the penalty spot after Rovers' Shane Sherriff handled in the box.
Striker Tyson added the second with a left-footed volley from Julian Bennett's cross.
Gareth Taylor's injury-time header hit the post from six yards out but Forest kept the visitors at bay for the win.
