Scunthorpe moved seven points clear at the top of League One after Nathan Jones's first-half own goal earned them victory over play-off hopefuls Yeovil.
The Iron also stretched their impressive unbeaten run to 19 games.
The visitors began well, but Scunthorpe took control and they had no answer when Jones headed into his own net after a cross from Kevan Hurst.
Billy Sharp had two good chances for Scunthorpe, but Yeovil almost equalised with Wayne Gray's header.
