Doncaster 0-1 Bristol City

Jamie McCombe's late header earned Bristol City a narrow win at Doncaster and took the Robins to within two points of the League One summit.

City were indebted to Brazilian goalkeeper Adriano Basso for keeping them in the contest.

Basso saved from Bruce Dyer early on, but his best stop came with 10 minutes remaining, as he caught Danny Cadamarteri's brilliant volley.

With three minutes left, McCombe buried Lee Johnson's cross from the left.
