Steve Claridge's 1,000th professional match ended in misery as Port Vale thrashed struggling Bournemouth.
Claridge lasted less than an hour in his Cherries reappearance following an absence of 21 years before he was replaced after contributing little.
Vale were 2-0 ahead up after just 13 minutes as Leon Constantine and George Pilkington capitalised on mistakes.
Constantine got his second in the 68th minute with a close-range finish, while Akpo Sodje added a classy fourth.
