Sheffield Wednesday win 3-1 on aggregate
Sheffield Wednesday booked their place in the League One play-off final with a convincing second-leg win at Brentford.
The Owls dominated proceedings but had keeper David Lucas to thank for keeping the match level when he made a stunning save to deny Deon Burton on 24 minutes.
Minutes later Lee Peacock gave the visitors the lead, heading home Paul Heckingbottom's in-swinging free-kick.
Chris Brunt's deflected free-kick made it two before Andy Frampton volleyed home from a corner late in the game.
Brentford boss Martin Allen
"I am ambitious - everybody is - but I am content here and I am not going to go out chasing other jobs.
"I am under contract at Brentford, and I don't deal in ifs, buts and maybes.
"It has been a long season for us, especially with the FA Cup games, and that took its toll tonight."
Sheffield Wednesday manager Paul Sturrock
"This club has been in the doldrums for too long, and now we have a chance to move up a league.
"This season we have been guilty of defending too deep when we have gone away from home.
"But in this game our back four got themselves high up the pitch, and that was the key to winning the game."
