All the goals came in the first half as a thrilling game ended all-square.

Wrexham captain Darren Ferguson opened the scoring from 25 yards following Andy Holt's left-wing cross.

Darren Wrack equalised with a shot from the edge of the penalty area, but two minutes later Mark Jones set up Chris Llewellyn who fired in a left-footer.

Jorge Leitao got above Stephen Roberts to head in Mark Wright's cross, before Llewellyn headed wide and Saddlers boss Paul Merson missed an open goal.
