Bristol City 3-1 Hull
Steve Brooker marked his home debut with the opening goal as Bristol City turned on the style against Hull.

Brooker, a 225,000 signing from Port Vale, headed in Brian Tinnion's chip in the first half, but Delroy Facey equalised shortly after the break.

Luke Wilkshire volleyed the hosts back in front before Tony Butler sealed victory with a late header.

The winning margin should have been greater as top scorer Leroy Lita wasted two good second-half chances.

Bristol City: Phillips, Coles, Butler, Hill, Bell, Murray (Amankwaah 88), Orr, Tinnion (Brown 86), Wilkshire (Fortune 72), Lita, Brooker.
Subs Not Used: Heffernan, Gillespie.

Hull: Myhill, Joseph, Delaney, Cort, Dawson, France (Allsopp 45), Green, Lewis, Keane (Price 78), Elliott, Facey.
