Torquay 1-2 Tranmere
Iain Hume's brace helped Tranmere sink a spirited Torquay side.

Hume put Rovers ahead early on when he met Gareth Roberts' cross and steered the ball into the bottom corner.

Torquay's Steve Woods wasted a great chance to level when he missed from the spot after he was fouled by Tranmere keeper John Achterberg.

Alex Russell did equalise with an overhead kick but Hume gave his side all three points when he headed home Eugene Dadi's cross late on.
