Blackpool made it three wins in seven days as they beat
Notts County at Bloomfield Road.
But they were never able to reproduce the classy football that saw them knock Birmingham City out of the Carling Cup.
Steve McMahon's side went ahead in the 10th minute when Scott Taylor's angled
drive was stabbed home by Keith Southern.
Referee Mike Cooper made a controversial penalty decision when deeming
Blackpool defender Gareth Evans to have pulled down Simon Baldry. Mark Stallard
made no mistake with the spot-kick.
In a game which became increasingly lacklustre, Blackpool did produce one
moment of magic just before half-time when Neil Danns finished superbly from 15
yards.
