Peterborough 1-2 Colchester

Substitute Joe Keith ensured in-form Colchester sealed a late victory at Peterborough.

Left-back Keith dashed into the box late on to beat Mark Tyler with a close-range bullet header and condemn the 10-man hosts to a fourth home defeat of the season.

On-loan Craig Fagan had acrobatically fired Colchester ahead before the break, but his strike was cancelled out by Neil Wood in the second half.

The 21-year-old beat Simon Brown with a stunning 25-yard free kick, but Fry's men were on the rack when Simon Rea was dismissed for a second booking midway through the second half.

Keith ensured all three points for the Essex outfit with his winner in injury time.

Peterborough: Tyler, Kanu, Rea, Arber, Legg, Newton, Gill, Shields, Farrell, Clarke, McKenzie. Subs: Boucaud, Jelleyman, Burton, Thomson, Wood.

Colchester: Brown, Stockley, Fitzgerald, Chilvers, Myers, Duguid, Pinault, Izzet, Vine, Andrews, Fagan. Subs: Keith, Gerken, Bowry, Alan White, Hadland.
