QPR striker Kevin Gallen returned to haunt his former club by creating two of
the goals in a win at Huddersfield.
Gallen, who was top scorer in his only season at the McAlpine Stadium two
years ago, turned defender Adi Moses on five minutes and supplied a fine through
ball for veteran forward Paul Furlong to net his fourth goal in five games.
And on 39 minutes Gallen's header from a Richard Langley corner hit the post
and Danny Shittu was first to react to bury his sixth goal of the season.
Deep in injury time ex-Chelsea striker Furlong, 35, coolly stroked in the
visitors' third goal from close range to continue his excellent scoring run.
Play-off hopefuls Rangers dominated most of the match and always looked a yard
sharper than relegation-threatened Huddersfield.
Town strikers Martin Smith and Andy Booth both missed second-half chances but
the hosts never looked like breaking down QPR's resolute defence.
