Tranmere 3-0 QPR
Tranmere kept their play-off aspirations on track with a comfortable win over 10-man QPR. There was precious little between the sides until Rangers' Paul Furlong was dismissed for violent conduct in the 36th minute. Rovers made the most of their numerical advantageas as Simon Haworth put them ahead in the 51st minute when he turned in a cross from Alex Hay. Danny Shittu should have levelled two minutes later but he headed wide when well placed from a Richard Langley free-kick. Tranmere doubled their lead on the hour when substitute Iain Hume went on a powerful run and found Stuart Barlow who crossed for Gary Jones to fire into the unguarded goal. The visitors tried hard to get back into the game but were down and out in the 71st minute when Jones headed his second, with Barlow again the creator with a left-wing cross.
