Peterboro' 4-1 Cheltenham

Veteran Peterborough striker Andy Clarke returned from injury to score two goals and end Cheltenham's seven-game unbeaten run in a 4-1 victory.

Clarke's return proved a big boost to fellow striker Jason Lee, who also weighed in with two first-half goals after Clarke had opened the scoring.

Lee twice headed in from Jimmy Bullard corners.

Cheltenham made a fight of it in the second half and pulled a goal back through former Peterborough midfielder Richard Forsyth, who stroked a John Brough centre past goalkeeper Dan Connor.

Connor did well to keep out two decent attempts from livewire Robins substitute Damian Spencer before former Wimbledon striker Clarke rounded off the scoring late on, claiming his 13th goal of the season.

Peterborough: Connor, Gill, Rea, Edwards, Jelleyman, Shields, Farrell, Bullard, Newton, Andy Clarke, Lee. Subs: Arber, Green, Fenn, Danielsson, Harrison.

Cheltenham: Book, Howarth, Brough, Mike Duff, Victory, Devaney, Yates, Forsyth, Finnigan, Brayson, Alsop. Subs: Griffin, Milton, Higgs, McAuley, Spencer.

Referee: C Boyeson (E Yorkshire)
